What happened to Winston

The cat you see in the picture here is our beloved Winston.  He developed diabetes this summer.  Last Tuesday we went to the vet so he could have his first insulin shot and I could learn how to give it to him.  He seemed fine.  About 9:30 he went out to our front porch, as he loved to do in the evening, and just died.  Maybe he was overwhelmed by all the proceedures around his treatment.  We don't know and neither does his vet, even after autopsy.  I picked up his ashes yesterday afternoon.  We are bereft.  He was our baby and the light of our home and family.  My hands miss his little body and his favorite places to be scratched.  Impermanence sucks.  I hope to see Winston again.

I think I won't wait to post until I get a brush up on how to post pictures.

Donna, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I love my pets and to loose one unexpected is such a shock. I'm thinking of you. Tory

Oh, Donna. My heart breaks for you. We just lost our dog of 13 years on the 30th. I know your loss and pain. Take care.
